according the international law, anyone with ties to russia in a business way, is under issue of treason, as Russia is now considered an Enemy of Germany, according to the German Chancellor, so the world in a way of intelligence and business infromation, is weird, as any Canadian with ties to Russian or Chinese assets, is in big trouble, yet Israel is an ally of both America, Canada, Russia and China, so a Canadian is allowed to speak to an Israeli, and an Israeli is allowed to speak to a non ally? , yet a Canadian is not allowed to speak directly to a chinese or russian asset, this is the world we live in.
