Eighty-five-year-old Max Green was stuck by a van after pushing his wife, Nathalene, out of its way. Their grandson, a redditor who goes by SpoonHandle, told the tale and shared a photo of the recovering couple in the Pics community. "Everyone at the hospital is calling him The Hero."

When redditor ksmi53 posted a photo of "this guy towing a mini version of his car in Ohio" in Reddit's Mildly Interesting community, many jumped in to share that they too had seen the quirky pair of vehicles. But what is that tiny thing, who owns it and where is it going?

Through music, Prince expressed not only his wildest passions, but also his deepest pains. In the Today I Learned community, redditor TheCheshireCody shared that the late artist used the heartbeat of his son, who died a week after birth, in a track on the Emancipation album.

"When Berlin falls, the war should be over in a few days!!" The words are from a diary written by Ko Kolijn, who was living in the Netherlands during the end of World War II. His grandson, redditor LockStockNL, is translating the fascinating Dutch writings and sharing one entry per day online.

May is National Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. In an AMA, Wendy Lumsden (Reddit user wendycaroline911) explains what it's like to live with the genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections. "I look like a totally normal person on the outside," she writes. "But It takes me so much energy just to breathe."

Forget about your worries and your strife. This brown bear from the Berlin Zoo inspired Reddit's Photoshop Battles community the only way he knows how: by relaxing in the sun, doing a whole lotta nothin'.

 P.S.

The internet (partially) wins. Britain's Science Ministry names its new vessel RSS David Attenborough, and its onboard submarine—drumroll—Boaty McBoatface.
