In the last couple weeks, Israel's cases of coronavirus have soared beyond their peak crisis levels from this past spring. The sustained number of daily cases are also the highest they have ever been.
In fact, calls to Magen David Adom's emergency medical hotline increased by over 300% during the July 4th weekend, with 13,048 calls on that Saturday alone and another 26,341 the next day.
The brave men and women of MDA have been working tirelessly to contain the virus, test those with symptoms, and treat the sick. And today even more is being asked of them as the number of infections surges to new levels.
Israel needs your help to face this escalating crisis. No matter the efforts of MDA's 23,000 volunteer EMTs and paramedic to fight against the virus, without the critical medical supplies and equipment needed to do so, it will be almost impossible to reduce the impact of the pandemic on Israelis and keep them healthy.
