The LightSail—an actual sail that is in space right this second and uses the sun as propulsion—is a pretty hot topic. Yesterday it took a selfie with the sun in the background, which is a much better selfie than we're ever going to take. Next year, the LightSail will ride again, and will demonstrate "controlled solar sailing." There's still time to join the mission.
